Easi Saves Money and Improves Response Time

As part of the Johnson Space Center Bioastronautics contract, Easi is responsible for the Baseline Operational Readiness (BOR) Office. Through this office, Easi supports 40 Bioastronautics Contract laboratories and facilities at the NASA Johnson Space Center. The main objective of the BOR Office is to support and maintain a baseline set of fully operational state-of-the-art facilities and laboratories that are equipped and ready to accommodate the work of the Bioastronautics contract. The BOR Team accomplishes this objective by establishing schedules for equipment maintenance, calibration, and replacement that ensure full-time operation. The BOR Team consolidates vendor maintenance agreements, performs in-house repairs, and uses a computer-based maintenance management system to track maintenance activity, identify failure trends, and optimize use of resources. By taking this approach, Easi has been able to deliver cost savings to NASA and dramatically improve response time to maintenance calls.
