EASI TECHNICAL & ENGINEERING SERVICES (EASI T&E)

Easi provides technical and engineering support services to clients in the aerospace engineering, research, and development environment. Easi's professional services include systems development and engineering. Easi works within a team environment that places a premium on integration of different specialized technical disciplines to produce an effective design and then translate that design onto a working product.

Systems Development
Easi's expertise in systems development includes bioinformatics, ion mobility spectrometer development, and intelligent systems development.

Bioinformatics (Virtual Reality)
Easi provides technical and scientific support for the development of virtual biological specimens for studying the effects of the space environment on living organisms. Using electron microscopy and sophisticated statistical and graphical software, 3D reconstructions of tissues and biological structures are created for use by researchers in virtual experiments, eliminating the use of live animals.

Ion Mobility Spectrometer Development
To facilitate exobiology research in extraterrestrial environments, improved methods and highly sensitive instrumentation must be developed for in situ chemical analyses of volatile chemical species that occur in the atmospheres and surfaces of various bodies within the solar system. The development of new, or improvement of existing, sensitive, miniaturized detectors and detector systems, with both selective and universal response, for gas chromatographs is a fundamental part of improving and designing this type of future flight instrumentation. Easi provides technical and engineering support services for the development of advanced detection and identification systems, including an Ion Mobility Spectrometer (IMS), a Metastable Ionization Detector (MID), and Penning Ionization Electron Spectroscopy (PIES).

Intelligent Systems Development
Advanced life support systems (ALS) are complex and dynamic and employ diverse physical/chemical and biological components that require sophisticated integrated controls. Easi provides engineering support to investigate and develop architecture designs, hardware and software for all levels of control, from the lowest sensor and actuator level to high-level supervisory functions.

Engineering Services
Easi provides mechanical and electrical/electronics engineering support to a major aerospace flight hardware supplier for the United States' manned space flight program. Easi's work contributes directly to the design, fabrication, and deployment of flight, ground, and test/simulator systems and equipment.
